This is a photo of a photo in the art history museum downtown. It's the ladies of a northern California beauty pageant in 1924. I can't stop admiring these photos. The array of shapes and sizes, those great short waved haircuts! Miss Oakland is adorable (front row, fifth from left) and I really want to try the headscarf thing.

    I love the 1920s!!! Although, those bathing suits don't seem that comfortable.
