That Extra Mile

I cannot stop pairing this navajo-print sweater with polka dots! Next week I'm going to challenge myself to rework this with something different, like bright colors or a different print to mix with. I always think I can pull off oversize clothing a la the Olsens, but I just end up looking kind of like a hobbit in a wizard's robe. Uh, a navajo wizard... Anyway, I shoulda perhaps belted this, but I'm obsessed with comfort over style these days. Ten hours of work is too long to be cinched in.

This week has gone by so fast, and without more outfit photos! Monday night the boy and I met up with friends in Oakland at a tiny bar called Cafe Van Kleef, famous for it's greyhounds (shiny pink grapefruit line the bar and a huge chunk adorns each drink, plus all that vitamin C!). We then headed over to the Fox Theatre to see Queens of the Stone Age play most of their first album, plus some other goodies. I was so excited to hear Wanna Make It Wit Chu live! The next day was Eric's birthday, which we celebrated by heading back up to the Bay Area and watching the Giants beat LA.

  1. this outfit is adorable... I like the Navajo print sweater with the ankle boots, it's very southwestern, then the polka dots and satchel keep give it a 70's secretary look. It's an interesting combination, and it works :)

  3. Those two prints look awesome together. I think they really work because of the similar colors. I feel the same way about belts, they look good but I can only take them for so long.
