Blue Skies Ahead

Girls I tell you what, midi skirts and bare legs have to got to be the darndest most pleasant thing about spring! It wasn't too hot this morning but it quickly warmed up into the seventies. I spent most of the day indoors at work, so I was only sweating in the long-sleeves when I went out to move my car on my lunch break, phew! I am looking forward to the boy feeling better and trips to the river this summer.

I have to say I no longer resent CVS' take-over of Longs Drugs so much. Sure they rearranged everything wonky, put in carpet (ew), and are always out of stock, but damn does that rewards card make up for some of it! With a "beauty bucks" coupon I earned plus an in-store sale, I away with cute little pink compact of Physician's Formula Mood Lifting Blush in my hot little hand—for free! I got the Natural compact, which is a pretty, sheer light bright pink on my skin. It's hard to believe I used to avoid blush and lipstick for fear of looking garish, but now I love them!

  3. That is such a wicked outfit! I love the patterns and textures and that skirt length is PERFECT! I have lupus and permanently swollen knees (and ridiculously long legs) so finding a skirt that doesn't look frumpy but covers my knees is so hard! So cute!

  5. I love their beauty rewards program, and clearance sales. I used to hate blush, and now I love it. Elf's pink passion is my favorite, you only need a tiny bit, and it's $3.

  6. Seriously, that skirt you made is just the cutest. I love how you styled it with the stripped shirt and red necklace- very nautical! I love bare legs for Spring. Thank goodness the tights are tucked away! xoxo

  7. Wow your outfit is adorable. I really love the mixed pattern. I couldn't make out the pattern on your skirt. Are the geometric shapes. I'm a fan of midi skirts as well. Super flattering.

  12. You're so lucky it's stayed fairly warm. It's all over the place here. I love this outfit! It reminds me of vacation and a little bit of vintage road-trip ads. I think it's the length of the skirt and the bag. It's really very lovely.
